Herbal Beauty Tea for Clear and Balanced Skin

Outer radiance doesn't just come from using healthy all natural skin care. It also comes from taking care of yourself from the inside out.

Besides eating a balanced, healthy diet, one of my favorite ways to encourage healthy skin, hair, and nails is by drinking herbal infusions with plants that have an affinity for them.

Nettle is one of my absolute favorite plant allies. It gets a bad wrap outside the herbalism world because of it's stinging hairs that irritate the skin, leaving it itching for days.

But when you harvest the plant, dry it, and infuse it in hot water, you end up with an herbal infusion that's rich in minerals and nutrients that feed your body.

I wanted to share my current Beauty Tea recipe, featuring nettles, so that you can start infusing your life with more herbs -- and "beautifying" your skin from the inside out.

BENEFITS

Nettle: This highly nutritive plant strengthens and supports the whole body. The leaves are filled minerals and vitamins like Vitamin A, B complex, C, E, K1, folic acid, calcium, iron, zinc, magnesium, and beta-carotene to nourish from the inside out.

Raspberry Leaf: Contain high levels of antioxidants and vitamin C, which can help to reduce inflammation and promote healthy skin.

Red clover: Contains isoflavones, which are compounds that mimic the effects of estrogen in the body. These compounds can help to improve skin elasticity, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and promote overall skin health.

Rose: Rose petals contain antioxidants that can help to protect your skin from damage caused by free radicals. They also taste delicious.

Hibiscus: The antioxidants in hibiscus tea can help to protect your skin from damage caused by free radicals, which can lead to premature aging, wrinkles, and dull skin. Additionally, hibiscus tea is rich in vitamin C, which is essential for collagen production, promoting healthy skin.
